I bought this product myself and this review is based on my own experience.
I bought this foldable laptop stand around two years ago after spending long periods working with my laptop flat on a desk.
I was starting to get neck pain and quickly realised that looking down at a laptop screen for hours at a time wasn’t helping.
I wanted something simple, inexpensive and portable because I work in different places and didn’t want another bulky piece of equipment to carry around.
I paid around £8 for this one.
Two years later, it is still in my work bag and I use it every week.
It folds down small enough to travel with
This was one of the main reasons I chose it.
The stand folds down into a compact shape, so it takes up hardly any room in my bag.
That means I can take it with me when I’m working away rather than having a desk setup that only works at home.
For something I use so regularly, I barely notice I’m carrying it.

You can adjust the height and angle
The stand has several different positions, so I can change the angle and height depending on where I’m working.
The laptop simply sits on top and the raised edges at the front stop it sliding forward.
It means I can bring the screen higher rather than constantly looking down at it.
I still use a separate keyboard when I’m working for longer periods, which makes the setup much more comfortable for me.

It feels surprisingly robust
For around £8, I wasn’t expecting anything particularly substantial.
But after two years of being folded, unfolded, thrown into my work bag and carried around, it is still doing exactly what it is supposed to do.
It feels sturdy once the laptop is sitting on it and I haven’t had problems with it collapsing or moving around during normal use.
It’s one of those boring products that’s genuinely useful
There isn’t much more to say about it — and that’s probably part of why I like it.
It doesn’t have batteries.
It doesn’t need charging.
There isn’t an app.
You unfold it, choose the height you want and put your laptop on top.
Simple.

My verdict
This is probably one of the cheapest things in my work bag, but also one of the things I use most.
I bought it because working for hours with my laptop flat on a desk wasn’t comfortable for me.
For around £8, I now have something that raises the screen, adjusts to different working positions and folds away when I’ve finished.
Two years later, I still use it every week.
It isn’t exciting.
It isn’t clever.
It’s just foldable, robust and extremely useful.
Would I buy it again? Absolutely.
